Cascade Fine Cotton Hammock Wall Hanging

These cotton wall hangings are mini versions of our Descanso hammocks, but smaller and with a gorgeous long fringe. Comprised of 100% natural materials, every piece is individually made by a master artist who learned this process from her family. Both lightweight and easy to carry, they feature sturdy woven loops on either end for hanging. The can be displayed as decoration over a bed, used to store books in a living space, toys in a nursery or even hung to rock a little one to sleep.

Artisan
This artist who makes these custom works for us first learned her artistic mastery from her parents as a little girl. While they encouraged her to wait to participate in artisan practices until she was older, she regularly snuck materials to her room to work with, using techniques that she developed by watching her parents and grandparents work. In investing in this piece, clients are able to actively support the continuance of this creative family history.

Care
While this is a durable piece, it should not be left outside for extended periods of time in various types of weather, as this will stain and break down the material. When not in use, we recommend bringing this hammock indoors for storage, in order to extend the life of the piece.

To clean, this piece should be dry cleaned or soaked overnight in cold water with mild soap and vinegar, then hung to dry. Do not clean this piece in a washing machine or dryer or damage may occur. Do not soak the piece in bleach for long periods, as it will break down the material and cause it to be more fragile.
