For those who love their salsa, chutney and salad dressing on the side – rejoice. This lovely set is ideal for tabletop use to serve up an array of condiments, snacks and sea salt for the chef at home. These works are created using hand-harvested local clay from the Oaxaca valley, sculpted on a simple wheel, pit fired, and treated with a quick introduction of organic copal and tobacco leaves to the searing hot surface that results in an innovative mottled finish.

Artisans
Francisco and his family have been producing ceramic works in Southern Mexico for generations. Highly skilled in the art of pottery production, Francisco continuously strives to develop new processes – a creative evolution that spans an enormous body of work from large-scale sculptures to stunning tableware. In addition to creating his pieces by hand, Francisco gathers organic plants and minerals from his property to use in his pieces, which he pit fires in the three handmade kilns that he built on his property.

The Nava family have been producing handmade wooden bowls, cutting boards, utensils and other custom pieces for well over four generations. Today, Celso Nava works alongside his father in producing these stunning products, which they market through extensive travels throughout Mexico. They take great pride in the both the quality of their materials, along with their attention to detail, and only produce the finest pieces without cutting corners.
