Nopalito Clay Votive Holder

Handmade from local clay by master artisans in Oaxaca, Mexico, this whimsical piece features hand drawn illustrations of cactus and nopal, a durable finish in matte white, as well as a series of openings to let the light shine through. Ideal for burning candles and incense, these custom works are a gorgeous addition to your dining table or patio, or even on a bedside table or shelf.

Artisan
This master artisan works with a type of red clay that’s sourced from the local mountains in his hometown in Oaxaca, Mexico. His pieces are certified lead-free, and he employs a high temperature gas kiln, rather than the traditional wood fired pit fire process that’s common in this region. Every piece is hand-thrown. Details are drawn by hand, and with this, no two are exactly the same. The final touch is a mineral-based matte white wash, which makes for a textured, pristine finish.

Care
These votive holders can simply be dusted with a soft cloth, however if they need to be cleaned, they should be hand washed. A dishwasher will damage the finish and composition of the piece, so it’s not recommend.
