Skip the salt shaker and invite these handmade salt and pepper bowls join your table. These pieces are made on a rustic pottery wheel using natural clay, along with organic copal and tobacco that our artisan partner sources on his property in the Oaxaca valley. Once these bowls are formed, they are pit fired in handmade kilns, which naturally derives a beautiful pearly grey finish. Given the nature of the making process, each is an individual work of art. These functional pieces are also perfect for serving jelly, sauces or even for planting a tiny succulent.

Francisco and his family have been producing ceramic works in Southern Mexico for generations. Highly skilled in the art of pottery production, Francisco continuously strives to develop new processes – a creative evolution that spans an enormous body of work from large-scale sculptures to stunning tableware. In addition to creating his pieces by hand, Francisco gathers organic plants and minerals from his property to use in his pieces, which he pit fires in the three handmade kilns that he built on his property.

Approximately 7cm wide x 3cm tall (2 ¾“ wide x 1 ¼” tall)

These pieces are safe for oven, gas range and food service. For best care results, they should be washed by hand.
