While there’s nothing quite like a luxurious, handwoven textile with natural dyes that take months to create, we’re also big believers in celebrating the beauty of the everyday object. These humble cowbells are made by local hands and are sold in markets throughout the valley of Oaxaca. While these pieces are employed for exactly what you’d expect – tying to livestock – they would also be lovely as wind chimes, tying to a gift or gracing a corner bookshelf.

Artisans
These pieces are made by various makers in and around the Oaxaca valley from durable welded iron and aluminum for the inner bell section. They’re spray painted gold and develop a patina over time, particularly if exposed to outside elements.

Size
As these are a market find, the sizes vary. Contact us directly for more details.

Care
Dust with a dry cloth as needed. Store in a dry location to avoid rust, unless a rustic patina is desired.
