Dress up your table with these sublime salt cellars, that are also ideal as mezcal or sake cups, or as vessels to store your jewelry. Every piece is formed by hand, glazed, then pit fired for roughly an hour and a half. The copper hue comes from submerging the searing hot cup in a bath of sawdust. Easy to clean and food safe, every piece features a hand sculpted raised skull design at the bottom – a playful nod to local culture, and perhaps a reminder to go easy on the salt.

Artisans
Our master artisan partner comes from a talented family of potters, who constantly strive to develop innovative designs and finishes. While this artisan creates custom functional works to our specifications for our collection, his main focus is on ambitious sculptural projects that have seen his impressive work displayed in galleries throughout Mexico and beyond.

Dimensions
Approximately 7cm wide x 2 ½cm tall

Care
Hand wash, and do not place in the dish washer or microwave. These pieces are food safe, however anything acidic like citrus juice or vinegar should not be introduced to the copper surface, as it will change the glaze from copper to green.

Note
The price is for a single salt cellar. Given the nature of handmade, sizes, designs and colors may vary slightly from the featured product image. All noted prices are in USD and do not include shipping.
