Roughly a century ago, these handmade vintage ceramic mugs were used for serving traditional hot chocolate to children in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. Created with natural clay and white glaze, these cups exist as one-of-a-kind art pieces. They are ideal as tea light holders, jewelry jars, or as a minimalist shelf decoration – archaeological relics from another time and place.
These works were widely used in Southern Mexico during the turn-of-the-century to serve up handmade hot chocolate to families in search of a little sweetness. They’re made from natural materials and reflect the storied tradition of ceramics that dates back centuries throughout Mexico.
Approximately 8cm wide x 7cm high (3 ¼“ wide x 2 ¾“ high)
We do not recommend these pieces for food service. Due to the vintage finish, they should be washed by hand with cool water and minimal friction. No dishwasher or microwave.
