Chalky tones of peach and grey adorn these handmade ceramic works that are both functional and decorative. The doves are ubiquitous to a specific region of Mexico and speak to local traditions, with these particular pieces working well as either salt cellars or candle holders. The simple shallow dishes reflect the artistry involved in the creation of every original piece, and are ideal serving bowls for olives and nuts, or even as a jewelry holder for a bedroom side table.

This community of women potters practice their craft which has been in existence in this region since pre-Hispanic times. Every piece is formed by hand and pit fired, with many works later being painted with vibrant hues. Given our love of neutrals, we arranged for a custom order of pieces for Hecho, where a wash of natural color is simply washed over the piece.
