Like any art form, cooking requires quality tools for a beautiful end result. These custom stunners are ideal for stirring, tasting and serving, and if treated with care, will last a lifetime. Handmade in limited quantities by our artisan partners in two different Mexican states, these pieces incorporate hardwoods that are both gorgeous and resilient. We have a choice of our tigerwood spoon – known locally as jobillo – on the left, and our granadilla spoon on the right.

Our master artisan partners produce custom-made wooden utensils, combs and other works using rustic tools and a meticulous eye for detail. The makers who produce our granadilla pieces work together as a family in their home workshop, and have been producing custom-made wood pieces for over three decades. The makers of our tigerwood pieces collaborate as a creative collective and employ rustic tools and generations of shared knowledge.

Tigerwood spoon (left in main image): Approximately 7 ½cm top x 32cm long (3" top x 12 ½” long)
Granadilla spoon (right in main image): Approximately 8cm top x 30cm long (3 ¼" top x 12” long)

In order to protect the beautiful finish of these custom pieces, these spoons should be washed by hand in cold water – no dishwasher, microwave, bleach, harsh soaps or scrubbers. Should not be left out in direct sun, particularly when wet, in order to avoid cracking. They are food safe, and will maintain their natural sheen with the application of a bit of coconut or olive oil for conditioning, from time to time.

These pieces are all-natural and food safe. The noted prices are for a single spoon in either design – please see drop down menu for individual prices.

All noted prices are in USD and do not include shipping. Our website is not currently set up for e-commerce – please contact us directly to purchase: hello@hecho-shop.com
